PROJECT 741 A magnificent site on the south side of the coast road with uninterrupted southerly views of the bay. The existing house ignored its location. The brief was to retain as much as possible of the structure and turn a dark traditional house into an extremely open modern house with large flowing glazed spaces addressing the view and orientation. The passive solar gain intrinsic to the above was coupled with the use of solar panels, a heat pump and geothermic coils to produce an extremely energy efficient house.
